Local Area and Directions

Porth is one of seven beaches around Newquay, and there are holiday shops for essentials, as well as Inns which serve evening meals. The advantage of Porth is its tranquility, and yet it is only a walk or short drive to the centre of Newquay.

Newquay's beaches are ideal for all types of holiday, especially for the family who need space for beach games as well as just lazing. Surfers and swimmers enjoy all of them, providing they keep to lifeguards' rules.

Early Spring to July is the best time of year in Cornwall without a doubt. The coast paths away from our Guest House offer spectactular views of the coastline in either direction, as well as the opportunity to spot rare species of flora.

There are plenty of things to do around Newquay for all ages, including the Zoo and Pleasure Gardens, golf, tennis, bowls, swimming pool, leisure centre, dancing, theatre, sea life centre and a wide range of shops and restaurants.
